Christopher Greene graduated cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where he received his B.A. in Political Science in 1995. Subsequently, he earned his law degree from the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida where he also graduated cum laude.
After passing the North Carolina State Bar examination in July 1998, Mr. Greene began practicing immigration law in Charlotte, North Carolina as an associate attorney with Gonzalez & Associates. In the year 2000, he became Chief Counsel for the firm of Greene Sutherland & Associates. After 4-years as Chief Counsel, he joined Tin Fulton Greene & Owen as partner and sole immigration counsel in April 2004 before establishing his own immigration law practice in September 2007.
Over the years Mr. Greene has represented nationals from over fifty countries worldwide before USCIS, the Department of State, former Immigration & Naturalization Service, BCIS, BICE, and EOIR. His current areas of practice include nonimmigrant visa petitions/applications (B, E, F, H, J, K, L, O, P, R, TN, and V), labor certification, employment based immigrant petitions, family based adjustment of status, family based immigrant petitions, numerous waiver applications (both immigrant & nonimmigrant), removal and deportation defense, naturalization, among others.
Mr. Greene is also active in the community and has spoken before a number of immigrant groups including the Southern Baptist Association, Mecklenburg County Criminal Defense Bar, North American Ethnic Summit (guest speaker) as well as various churches and nonprofit organizations in the area. He is available upon request for speaking engagements.
Mr. Greene is a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, and the National Immigration Project. He is also currently legal counsel for the American-Indonesian Association of North Carolina.
